I am pleased to announce that the PodCamp Ohio 2 site is now ready to accept registrations for this year’s PodCamp. Our location this year will be at the OSU Center for the Study and Teaching of Writing. The center is located in Mendenhall Labs on the OSU campus.
All of us at PodCamp are thrilled to have the center as our first major sponsor. We are looking more more sponsors to help with making this years PodCamp even better than last years.
For those of you who are new to PodCamp, let me explain what it is. It’s a FREE unconference for anyone who is interested in new media and social media tools such as blogging, podcasting, twitter and numerous other useful tools. You do not have to be a pro in order to attend and get something out of podcamp. In fact, if you are new to social media, this would be a good place to start. Sessions are presented by others who are currently using new media and just want to share what they know and are passionate about with the rest of us.
We will be opening the registrations for anyone who wants to lead a session at PodCamp Ohio soon so start thinking about that as well. In the mean time, register for PodCamp, follow us on Twitter or add us as a friend on My Space to stay up on every thing that is happening. If you would like to be a part of the planning for PodCamp, check the web site for announcements of when we will be meeting in person or on Talkshoe.
EDIT: Sorry for not adding the date for this years PodCamp. It’s June 20th, 2009. Thanks Jody for pointing that out.

Hooray! I loved the first PodCamp Ohio and look forward to this year’s event. I just registered. Thanks for the info, Mary.
